At Westfield EFC, we believe every follower of Jesus needs a strong foundation for their faith. That’s why we offer Core Groups—a set of key groups designed to help you grow in the essential areas of Christian life and practice.

Each Core Group focuses on one foundational aspect of walking with Christ—whether it’s understanding core truths of the Bible, learning how to study Scripture for yourself, or developing habits that deepen your relationship with God.

These groups are valuable for everyone:

• If you are new to the faith, Core Groups give you the right place to start—helping you build strong habits and a clear understanding of what it means to follow Jesus.

• If you have been a Christian for some time, Core Groups provide an opportunity to strengthen areas you may not have focused on before. Needing to grow in a “basic” area doesn’t mean you’re behind; it simply means God is still at work shaping you into His likeness.

We offer these Core Groups every year—because these truths and practices are not optional extras; they are at the heart of living as a disciple of Jesus. As you look at your life, ask: Where do I most need to grow right now? Then choose the group that will help you take that next step.
