Elevate Student Ministries exists to
EXCITE, EQUIP and EMPOWER
middle school and high school students
to a life of completeness in Christ.
WEEKLY YOUTH GROUP
Elevate youth group is every Wednesday night with different times for middle schoolers and high schoolers.
Middle school is from 6:00-8:00PM.
High school is from 7:00-9:00PM.
Youth group normally consists of 4 parts: games, message, small group discussion and worship/announcements.
Yup! We're actually strategic about having fun! WHY DOES FUN MATTER IN MIDDLE SCHOOL MINISTRY? We believe that "Fun over time makes a friendship go deeper."
FUN OVER TIME…
CONVINCES students we actually like them.
BREAKS down walls.
HELPS connections happen quicker.
MAKES a friendship go deeper.
Our Small Groups provide an opportunity for students to grow deeper in their relationship with God, make lasting connections with peers and leaders and have a great time!
The Bible is the foundation for our knowledge of God, life and salvation. We spend a portion of our night digging into God's Word for wisdom and direction for our everyday lives. Our communicators and teachers do their best to bring an understanding of truth to the lives of our teens.
Messages can be topical in nature or a series through a particular book of the Bible.
Our worship time is the only time that the middle school and high school students are together. Elevate's worship team is a mix of students, college-age and adult leaders. Our singing is an act of worship to God; students are welcome to worship in a way that feels natural to them.
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS
In addition to weekly youth group, Elevate Students Ministries has many other outlets to excite, equip and empower students toward a life of completeness in Christ.
Sunday School is at 8:45AM on every Sunday during the school year.
The purpose of Sunday school is for students to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus through the study of God's word and discussions that develop a biblical worldview.
The high school student class is led by Pastor Jeff Jones.
The middle school girls class is led by Mrs. Patty Wodell.
The middle school boys class is led by Mr. Gary Baldis.
WEFC is committed to providing a wide range of experiences for students to be challenged in their faith. In addition to the weekly programs, students will have opportunities like
RETREATS, CONCERTS and MISSION TRIPS that deepen their faith in Jesus and make an impact for Him in the world around them
Elevate Students strive to show the love of Jesus to each other and our community in real, practical ways. We believe that we're supposed to be Jesus in our community. We can do that through serving in a homeless shelter or serving our neighbors. Either way, we believe that serving truly is the heart of God.
"The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Matthew 20:28
Snow. Boxsled Blitz. Monster Tube Run. Broom Hockey. Great music. Preachers that make sense. Friendships that last a lifetime. Truth that lasts forever. That's Hume New England Winter Camp.
Each winter, Elevate hosts 2 Winter Camps: one for middle schoolers and one for high schoolers.
Pastor Jeff leads Elevate Student Ministries, providing spiritual oversight and periodic comic relief for middle school and high school students. Jeff and his wife, Jesse, came to Westfield in 2013. They have 3 daughters and a son.
