Growth groups are places for people to connect with each other in authentic community with the goal of growing in their relationship with Christ.
This is a video-based Bible study where Jennie Allen inspires us to transform our emotions, our outlook, and even our circumstances by taking control of our thoughts. Our enemy is determined to get in our heads to make us feel helpless, overwhelmed, and incapable of making a difference for the kingdom of God. But when we submit our minds to Christ, the promises and goodness of God flood our lives in remarkable ways.
In addition to the video we will also be going through a workbook together. We are excited to go through this study with you! Hope to see you there!
This study will held Via ZOOM. Sign up in advance and Zoom link will be provided to you.
Tuesday nights from 7-8:15p.m. Beginning September 22, 2020
Get out of your head
Kim Gehring will be facilitating a group on Beth Moore's: Entrusted - a study of 2 Timothy. We were never meant to take this journey of faith alone or in secret. God has entrusted us with the great and mighty gift of the gospel, something too precious and life-giving to keep to ourselves. In this DVD Bible study, Beth will encourage you to guard what God has entrusted to you, further His kingdom by sharing Christ with others, and pour into future generations just as Paul once mentored Timothy. Because in this journey of joy and hardship, we need each other to stay the course and live a life of faithfulness.
This study will be held in the cafe. Limit of 10 people due to distancing regulations so advance sign up required.
Thursday mornings: 9:45-11:15 AM Beginning September 24, 2020
Deb Latimer with Karen Curran will be beginning the Bible study season with a discussion of "Comparison Girl-Lessons from Jesus on Me Free Living in a Measure-Up World" by Shannon Popkin for 6 weeks. Comparison Girl will take a look at conversations Jesus had and stories he shares with people who like us---were comparing themselves and trying to measure up rather then living in freedom, confidence and joy.
This study will help us to a me-free way of living-lifting others up and pouring ourselves out. This is scheduled to be about a 6 week study after which we will turn our attention to a study of the book of the Bible yet to be determined.
This study will be held mostly via ZOOM but as weather permits OUTDOORS with social distancing IN PERSON at the church. Advance sign up required.

& 1-3 John
If someone asked you to explain the gospel, what would you say? What is the good news of the Christian faith? Writing to the Galatians, Paul made it clear how easily we can be tempted to turn toward fraudulent gospels, especially those that teach we can earn God’s love through our works. Though they may have the appearance of truth, they are lifeless and leave us empty in the end.
Comfortable Christianity often means a weak Christianity. In this study on John’s three letters, Dr. Tony Evans challenges Christians who have grown comfortable and complacent in their faith. Fellowship with God is the essence of our faith, and Tony walks through 1, 2 & 3 John to paint a picture of love, obedience, and truth. In a world that hates Jesus, we are called to love Him and His people with a fierce love.
What we think about Jesus matters. Our perception of Him shapes us—what we say, how we treat others, even what we think. If we paint Jesus as any less than who He is as supreme over all creation and savior of the world, not only does our theology slip, but the working out of our faith also suffers.
In this 8-session series, Louie Giglio will take us through the book of Colossians to help us form a complete picture of Jesus. What we believe about Him influences everything from our corporate worship to our relationships to our attitude toward sin. Now alive in Christ, we can live a life worthy of God instead of falling back into the ways of the world.
FAITH: What are you hoping for (ONLINE)
Christians often misunderstand the purpose of Hebrews 11. It is frequently referred to as a list of legends or a hall of fame for faithful saints. But when you start to read this little chapter, you realize the great figures of the Bible were just like you and me. They were weak and had messy lives. But they held onto and lived by faith in the one true hero: The Lord Almighty, Jesus Christ. In the nine sessions of this study, you will see that God accomplishes great things through those who have faith.
What Did You Expect: Redeeming the Realities of Marriage
Somehow, someway, every marriage becomes a struggle...
Everyone's marriage morphs into something they didn't intend it to be. At some point you need something sturdier than romance. You need something deeper than shared interests and mutual attraction. You need changed expectations, you need radial commitments, and, most importantly, you need grace.
