MISSIONS

Missions

Westfield Evangelical Free Church affirms the definition of missions to be any endeavor outside of our local congregation to obey the Great Commission by proclaiming the gospel of Christ, making disciples and gathering these disciples into local churches.

The words “Great Commission” refer to Jesus Christ’s command found in Matthew 28: 18-20. It reads: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Our goal is to maintain a missions program that boldly and energetically pursues world evangelism under the guiding influence of the Holy Spirit. We want to be aware of what God is doing, to join Him in His work, and to rally our resources to see the Great Commission fulfilled.
