Small Group Ministry

Pastor Dick Loftus – loftusd@wefc.comcastbiz.com

We believe God wants our relationship with Him to permeate our lives and that He wants us to follow Him in community, not alone. Following Jesus in community provides support, constant opportunities to explore our faith, and is a whole lot of fun.

WHAT IS A SMALL GROUP

A small group is a weekly gathering of 8-12 people who meet to connect spiritually, emotionally and relationally. This happens as the group studies, prays, discusses and applies God’s word together.

 WHY SMALL GROUPS

When God gave Jesus the mission of reaching the world with the good news of His love and grace, Jesus employed a world-changing strategy: he poured his life into a small group (his disciples).

Life change happens in small groups. Small groups can offer you the chance to:

  • Grow deeper in your relationship with God

  • Connect with others in the church community

  • Expand your vision of what God can through and in your life

The church provides a model of world-changing community – meeting and sharing together in the course of their everyday lives.

FIND BIBLICAL COMMUNITY

Join an adult small group to connect weekly for encouragement and interaction. Deepen your relationship with God and with others in community, while you learn how God’s timeless truth and principles from the Bible can apply to your life.

  • Time: 1-2 hour meeting per week.

  • Place: Typically a home or church facility.

Whether you are interested in connecting with people who live close to you or at the same stage in life, or at the same stage in their spiritual journey, we offer a variety of connecting options:

  • Open/mixed adult groups: include multi-cultural, inter-generational

  • Men’s and women’s groups

  • Couples

  • Singles or the “spiritually” single groups

  • Support and recovery groups

  • Beginning Christ followers groups
